Totem Youth Theatre is a safe and inclusive space designed to ignite young thespians creative passion.
Within these classes, students will build their understanding of theatre by learning to improvise, acquiring language and communication skills, expanding social and physical awareness, and developing a sound concept of theatrical teamwork.
With time and dedication, students will work together to create a self-devised project displaying their understanding of theatrical techniques and quality acting.
Ultimately, we aim to guide these young actors to self-fulfillment through the process of learning theatre techniques.
Classes are held weekly during each school term, with the end of semester performance taking place on the 18th of June (the last lesson of the semester).
Please note: This is a Youth Theatre program that aims to give students a dramatic outlet while teaching them about dramatic techniques used within the professional industry. Students will be expected to participate in all activities provided, which will help them build their theatrical skills. Students will then use these skills to perform their end of semester piece.
