Our quaint heritage-listed theatre in the heart of Alice Springs is available for hire for comedy nights, small music concerts/shows, touring productions, film screenings and rehearsals. Please note it is not appropriate for parties or convention style events.
Totem Theatre is a 93 seat semi-raked theatre with a foyer and bar. The front half of the auditorium is raked, while the back is on the flat. There is space at the rear of the auditorium to remove two seats to provide access for one wheelchair.
The auditorium is accessed via a single door from the theatre foyer with 6 steps from the middle of the auditorium down towards the stage. There is a central aisle between seats 5 and 6. The back half of the auditorium (from Row H) is on the flat and these seats would be suitable for those who have difficulty managing stairs.
Totem Bar is open 1 hour before and after most shows as well as during interval.

Please be aware that while we can accommodate most theatre production needs, our theatre does not have a fly tower or dock and our audio and lighting equipment is very basic. All musicians need to bring their own equipment.
